1.Aluminum bar is the most basic form, which refers to a rigid long conductor made of pure aluminum or aluminum alloy, usually with a rectangular section (flat) and without flexible treatment. Core characteristics: Material: mostly 1060, 6061 and other pure aluminum or aluminum alloy, the conductivity is about 60%~65% of copper, but the density is only 1/3 of copper, and the cost is lower. Form: Strong rigidity, unable to bend or fold significantly, and needs to be fitted by mechanical processing (such as cutting, drilling). Function: It is mainly used for fixed connections of medium and low current (within hundreds of amperes), and undertakes the dual role of conduction and support. Typical applications: fixed connections inside low-voltage distribution cabinets and distribution boxes; static conductive connections of industrial equipment (e.g. motors, frequency converters); Scenarios such as photovoltaic brackets and curtain walls that have both structural support and weak conductivity.
2.Conductive aluminum bar is a general term for aluminum bar with conductive core function, which can be understood as "aluminum bar emphasizing conductive performance", covering rigid aluminum bar and part of flexible aluminum bar, which is a more function-oriented concept. Key features: Prioritize electrical conductivity, typically using high-purity aluminum (e.g., 1060 pure aluminum, conductivity ≥61% IACS) with low impurity content. May be surface treated (e.g., anodizing, tinning) to improve conductivity and corrosion resistance. The form can be rigid and flexible, but the core is "conductive" rather than a structural support. The difference between ordinary aluminum bars and ordinary aluminum bars: ordinary aluminum bars may take into account the structural strength (such as adding alloying elements) due to the needs of the scene, while conductive aluminum bars focus more purely on low resistance and high current-carrying capacity. 3.Flexible aluminum bar is a bendable aluminum conductor that has undergone special processing (such as multi-layer lamination and annealing treatment), which has both the lightweight and flexible characteristics of aluminum. Structure and process: It is usually superimposed by multiple layers of thin aluminum strips, and the layers are isolated by insulating films (such as polyimide and silica gel), and the whole can be bent and folded (the bending radius can reach several times of its own thickness). Some products are coated with an insulating layer (e.g., PVC, TPE) to improve insulation and weather resistance. Core advantages: Good flexibility: it can adapt to complex space layout and reduce mechanical stress during installation; Lightweight: more than 60% lighter than the copper bar with the same current-carrying capacity, reducing the load of the equipment; Low cost: The price of aluminum is about 1/3~1/4 of copper, and the cost performance is higher than that of flexible copper bar.
